Helen Mikolajewski age 79 of Hempstead,
passed away April 22, 2011 at Bellville
General Hospital in Bellville Texas. She is
preceeded in death by her husband Henry
Mikolajewski Sr. and her grandson Darrell
Gross Jr. Mrs. Mikolajewski is survived by her
son Henry Mikolajewski Jr. and daughter
Barbara Gross of Hempstead, and one brother
Adolph Kujawa. A visitation will be held
Tuesday April 26, from 5:00 - 7:00pm at
McWilliams Funeral Home in Hempstead.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday April
27, at 10:00am At St. Bartholomew's Episcopal
Church in Hempstead, with Father Bob Merrill
officiating. Burial will be at the Hempstead City
Cemetery. All arrangements and services

Graduated from  Conway, AK, High
School in 1951. Attended Arkansas
State Teachers College (Central
Arkansas) for a year and joined the US
Air Force. He served four years in
Texas. While stationed in San Marcos,
he met and married, Myrtle. After his
discharge he enrolled in Southwest
Texas State University receiving a BS
degree in chemistry and biology in
1959. Having two daughters by then,
they moved from New Braunfels to
Austin where he attended  Pharmacy
School at the University of Texas.
About a year after the third daughter
was born, he went to work at UT  
Balcones Research Center doing
research with the Space monkeys.
Later he transferred  to the Main
Campus to do genetic research.
In 1966 he made a career change to
selling research, medical and industrial
equipment for Beckman Instruments
and later Varian Instruments. The
family was transferred to Dallas, St.
Louis and Houston all in a 16 month
period. In Houston they settled in the
Westbury area, where  they were
charter members of Disciples United
Methodist Church. In 1988 they moved
to the country outside Hempstead and
First United Methodist Church,
Hempstead became their church home.
In 1975 Lyle and his good friend
started their own manufacturer’s rep
and service  business. They later
formed two separate companies and
he continued with the sale of scientific
and medical equipment plus
developing treatment methods for
alternative medicine.
In lieu of flowers Memorials may be
made to First United Methodist Church,
Hempstead; Brazos Valley Hospice,
Brenham or the charity of choice.

City, OK at the age of 98. She

years. She is preceded in death by her

Whipple passed away Wednesday,
July 20, 2011. She was born February
20, 1964 in Waco, Texas to Russell is
survived by her sons David and
Matthew, two brothers: Russell Bruner
and James Bruner, three sisters:
Sherry Fourroux, Cindy McLarty, and
Priscilla Eckermann, and numerous
nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and
great-nephews. Nancy was a published
author and will be greatly missed by
her family, friends, and her dog Molly.

Warren-Burkham
1948, in Hempstead, Texas went to be
2011. She is preceded in death by her
parents Bob and Ann Warren, and her
brother Tommy Warren, all of
Hempstead. Cindy graduated from
Hempstead High School in 1966 and
received an education degree from
completed a Master of Education
degree from Trinity University that she
used in her 18 years of service
teaching in the New Braunfels and
Corpus Christi school districts. During
that time, she was a founding member
of CASA of Central Texas and touched
the lives of so many children. Her
greatest joys were her grandchildren
and family, quilting, and helping others
through numerous service
organizations. Cindy is survived by her
husband Roy Burkham of Corpus
Christi, son Cole Reinarz and his wife
Julie of Round Rock, son Clay Reinarz
and his wife Melissa of New Braunfels,
and five grandchildren: Cort, Case,
Carson, Reagan, and Rylee. She will
