Lord on Monday, March 18, 2013.
Jose is survived by his brothers: Juan,
Eladio, Jose Guadalupe, and Mario

away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013.
He is survived by his wife Nancy
Owens, daughters Angela Alcorn and
husband Charles, Kimberly Owens and
partner Ben McElwain. He is also

Scott, Becky Massaro and husband
Mark, Natalie Williams and partner

Joseph Shepard Hill Jr. Age 34 passed
away in Hempstead Texas on Thursday,
April 25, 2013. Joseph was born in
Henderson, Kentucky to Joseph Hill Sr. and
Margaret Byrd Hill. He is survived by his
parents and by his children, son Austin
Clay Hill and daughters: Ember, Bonnie,
and Riley Hill. Joseph is also survived by his
brother Steven Hill and by his sisters:
Shirley Oglesby, Wendy Strahan, Angie
Sisco, and Angellica Thompson. All

Richard M. Baird of Elgin, Texas
passed away Saturday May 4, 2013 at
the age of 58. Richard was born in
Hazard, Kentucky on November 12,
1954 to Richard E. Baird and JoAnne
Crawford. Richard is survived by his
mother JoAnne House, daughters
Mischell Lynn Menchaca and husband
Joel. He is also survived by his sister
Beverly Stovall and sister –in-law
Charlene, along with one grandchild
and numerous nieces and nephews
and 3 very special friends: Berkley,

Monferdini
Sandy Monferdini, formerly of
Hempstead, passed from this life on
his 87th birthday, May 14. He enjoyed
successful careers in the oil industry
and cattle ranching. He is survived by
his son, Gary and family; his daughter,
Carole; Joan Roan and her two
children; his sister, Betty and family,
and numerous grandchildren,
great-grand children, nephews and
nieces. Sandy will be greatly missed by
all. A funeral service will take place this
Saturday, May 18, at 11am at the
McWilliams Funeral Home in
Hempstead, to be followed by a funeral
procession to the Monferdini family plot
at Hempstead Cemetery.

Christina Faye Timmons Luper passed away
Tuesday May 21, 2013 at the age of 37. Christina
was born in Witchita Fall, Texas on December 25,
1975 to parents Robert and Hazel Timmons.
Christina is survived by her parents and husband
Paul Luper. She is also survived by her children,
sons Michael Holmes and Aaron Wheat and
daughters Laura Holmes and Brittany Wheat,
brother Kevin Timmons and sister Carrie Spencer.

Hugh Lee Weaver, of Hempstead, Texas,
passed away Monday, June 10, 2013, at
the age of 81. Hugh Lee was born in
Hempstead, Texas on July 13, 1931 to
parents Fitzhugh Lee Weaver and Bessie
Marchman Weaver. Hugh Lee is survived
by his daughter Jessica Weaver Holloman
and husband Robert and by two
grandchildren Kaytlyn and Emily Holloman.

Tanner
Diana Hooten-Tanner, age 60, passed
away Thursday, June 13, 2013. Diana
was born on June 20, 1952 to parents
Edwin and Ann Vaughn Hooten in
Savannah Georgia. Diana spent most
of her time volunteering with the San
Jacinto Girl Scouts and at the Barbara
Bush Elementary. Diana worked for the
State of Texas in the Child Support
Division. She also taught Sunday
School at the Memorial Drive United
Methodist Church and was a Proprietor
of Scugger’s Gift Baskets. She is
survived by her husband Tom Tanner
and twin daughters Christine and
Caroline Tanner. Diana is also
survived by her sister Joy Guercio.

Kimich
Freida Anita Kimich, of Waller, Texas,
passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at
the age of 81. Freida was born in Anna,
Texas to parents Shirley and Ethel Cormer
Powell on October 25, 1931. She is
preceded in death by her husband Billy
Frank Kimich. Freida is survived by her
daughters Carolyn Williams, Colleen Arabie
and husband Tony, and Christine Kimich.
She is also survived by her brother
Kenneth Powell and sister Dessa Adams
along with 7 grandchildren and 9

Marshall
Ricky Lawrence Marshall, age 62, went
to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 14,
2013. Ricky was born in Houston,
Texas to Lawrence Marshall and
Mavanelle Clendennen Marshall on
September 29, 1950. He is preceded
in death by his father Lawrence
Marshall. Ricky is survived by his
mother Mavanelle Marshall and his
wife Holly Marshall, son Josh Marshall
and wife Kristy, daughter Sarah
Mikolajewski and husband Chad,  
brother Monte Marshall, stepchildren;
Ryan Joy, Scott Anhorn and wife
Melissa, Lindsay Anhorn, and Skip
Joy.  Ricky is also survived by 9
grandchildren, Brian, Kristian, Kyle,
Julienne, Abbie, Race, D.J., Hailey,
Austin, and numerous friends and
family. Ricky had a life-long passion for
motorcycles, car & boat racing, and
hunting. He was his happiest when
enjoying these recreations. During his
high school years, Ricky served as
President of FFA, acted in theatre, and
played quarterback on the Hempstead
football team. Ricky went on to serve in
the Army National Guard before joining
his father in the automotive business.
Afterward Ricky built a business in
Waller County as a real estate broker.
Throughout his career and life, he was
always ready to lend a helping hand to
friends, family, and strangers alike.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 17,
2013 from 5-7 p. m.  and Services will
be Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 10:00
a.m. at McWilliams Funeral Home. He
will be laid to Rest at Old Salem
Cemetery in Hempstead, Texas.

Irene Elsie Woehler Bryant, age 96, went to
be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 30, 2013.
Irene was born on June 12, 1917 in Yorktown,
Texas to parents Otto Woehler and Ella
Machost Woehler. Irene is preceded in death
by her parents Otto and Ella Woehler,
husband Albert M. Bryant and son Jerry W.  
Bryant. She is survived by her son Johnnie
Bryant and wife Shirley and daughter Barbara
Chaumont. Irene leaves behind 5
grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2
great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be

Wesley Jay Wasicek, age 48, went to
be with the Lord on Friday, September
13, 2013. Wesley was born on April 6,
1965 in Sealy, Texas to parents
William J.  and Lora Wasicek.  Wesley
is survived by his parents and family
and many friends. Wesley will be

September 23, 2013. Jo Ann was born
April 1, 1935 in Hazard Kentucky to
Archie Crawford and Bessie Watkins
Crawford. She is preceded in death by
her husband Louis House, three sons,
Guy Diver, Wayne Baird and Mike
Baird.  She is survived by her son
James House and wife Mary, Her
daughters Beverly Stovall and
husband Joe, Lorrie Ashling and
husband James. She is also survived
by five brothers, Archie, George,
Tommy, Larry, and Gary Crawford, Her
sisters Geraldine Cone, and Priscilla
Crawford, Ten grandchildren and thirty
six great grandchildren.

Elizabeth Gail Holloman passed away
Thursday, September 26. 2013. Gail is
preceded in death by her parents,
Clifton and Bernice Hutchinson. She is
survived by her husband Doug
Holloman, children Tiffany Kroll and
husband Darrell, Natalie Grennon and
husband Michael, Tina Fehrenbach
and husband Dave, Robert Holloman
and wife Jessica, Teresa Cooper and

Holloman. She also leaves behind

Miller
Lillian Joyce Miller age 72 of
Hempstead, Texas went to be with the
Lord September 29, 2013. Lillian was
born December 14, 1940 to Arlee and
Mary DiIorio King. Lillian is preceded in
death by her parents.   Lillian is
survived by her loving husband of 30
years Kenneth Ray Miller. She is also
survived by her sons Daniel Ross Wier
and wife Katherine, Scott Morgan Weir
and wife Deana, Kenneth Ray Miller,
Jr. and wife Evelyn; daughter Donna
Marie Miller Enciu and husband Bebe;
grandchildren, Rachael, Kenny III,
Ross, Alec, Shannon, Madison, Anna,
Sophie, and Sarah; sister Marilyn
Foster and numerous nieces, nephews
and friends. Lillian graduated with a
Masters Degree from Sam Houston
State University and taught Home
Economics in the Cypress-Fairbanks
School District for 37 years. Lillian
enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing
and crafts. Lillian was loved by many
and will be missed by all of her loving
family and friends. Visitation was held

Ann Correa, and Kristy Manzano,
