Judy Elaine Broadus, 71, of Houston, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was born March 9, 1953, in Sealy, Texas and grew up in Brookshire, Texas. Judy is preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Foster Jackson. Jr., mother Bessie Lee, siblings Russell Eugene and Charlotte Lee, and sister in-law June Jackson. She also leaves behind many people who loved her: best friend, sister in-laws, brother, cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She enjoyed rips to the plant stores with her grandchildren, going to the Nutcracker ballet with Justin, birding with her sister in-laws with Lauren as their spotter. She loved her vegetable garden, encouraging the seedlings by telling them how brave they were for breaking through the soil. She could grow anything, and her flower beds were filled with beautiful roses. Judy enjoyed beach trips with her best friend, wine conversations on the back porch with her sister in-law, bossing Jack around to do chores at the house(he can fix anything). Judy’s mother/daughter best friend relationship grew closer with Kelly in her later years and with her illness. Nothing meant more to her than spending time with her family. She worked for many years as a legal secretary in downtown Houston for Larkin Eakin. (Preceded in death) She had the biggest most forgiving heart, wanted everyone to get along and be harmonious. She was the mother figure; she loved being a mom to not only her kids but anyone who needed that extra bit of love and anyone who met her could feel it. She loved babies and animals.  If she saw a baby anywhere, she was going to talk to him or her. If she saw a dog she was going to pet it, without asking their owner. The dogs didn’t mind, the owners didn’t either. Judy’s final arrangements were entrusted to McWilliams Funeral Home, Hempstead.
